iirc the trophy in my hometown hockey league was named after a player who died on the ice in like the 70s

**** cancer.
Just found out that my best friend's dad died. He was 72. He had a minor stroke last year, and continued to get worse over time. By the time they decided to do another scan, it was too late. They found out he had untreatable brain cancer. I'm not sure what all the details are around his treatment, so I am not going to jump to any conclusions over what they may or may not have been able to do if they had detected it sooner. He basically just slept more and more until this morning when he passed away. Really sucks. My friend is obviously devastated.
It cannot possibly be stated enough... **** cancer.
