If this has been done before (Simpsons did it!) then my bad.

Who is the one player you think would adapt best to today's game? Not necessarily the player you'd bring back in the prime, while benefiting from in today's technology, however the player you'd think benefit the most.

Bure? Messier? Yzerman? Kasparitis? Still would have killed lindros :)

But I think Bure would fit well. Only question is whether or not we're operating under him having two good knees while he plays.

Interesting question...is it just technology or does style of play factor in as well...?

The back pressure in today's game would really inhibit the "Gretzky turn" for instance...

Ken Dryden. You put a 6'4" Ken Dryden in today's gear and today's style of play...he'd play more games than goals against.

I wonder how much better 66 would be. Yes style of play is a factor as well for the question.

How similar is geno to 66? I remember comparisons early on with deceptive speed and puck protection

Forsberg or Fedorov would do well one would think.

I think Karyia would be one of the best.

I think the legends from the 90s clutch and grab era would translate the best.

I think Larry Robinson would not be out of place in today's game.

Bossy or Bobby Hull would be destructive with this stick technology.

Glenn Hall with the goalie equipment...

I want wooden sticks to make a return in the pros. Kids, Juniors, and College can play with the composites. Pros should play with the ole fashioneds.

I like the idea and I agree with you, I just think scoring would drop off even more due to how good goalies are today

What about comparing 66 to 99 today. Miley mentioned 99 would have trouble with the back checking now.

Who would be better? I think 66 would, and I'm obviously biased but I think Marcos strength and power would be the factor
