Non-Penguins NHL Games 2015-16

Technically on points percentage...but as we see, game(s) at hand are only useful if you don't lose...this isn't the AHL, we're all gonna play 82...Philadelphia goes the distance tonight, Mason faces 60 shots including the shootout, and then they're going to Colorado where they don't allow oxygen, playing a team playing for their life, really fast, with a terrific goaltender...Philadelphia's other goalie has never faced an NHL shot I don't think...

There's no free ride. They had a lay-up against Columbus tonight and bricked out on it...eventually, when you chase something for long enough, you just run out of steam...let's see if that turns out to be the case down the stretch...
Yes, of course, on all counts. :)

Results: Not optimal, but at least it hurts the Flyers chances.

The NHL War Room declared that the evidence was inconclusive on this play, and that the "no goal" call against Boston should stand. What is the point of replay review if we can't even get the basic things right? Boston fans promptly threw trash on the ice, and no one is feeling sorry for them anyway.

Damn you, Avalanche. Way to blow it. UGH.

F'in Radko Gudas...again? God, I despise that team.

At least Detroit won.

You'd think the clear part in the net behind the post would be there for a reason...

My issue with this kind of thing is why are there not cameras set to get good views of this stuff?

Why are there not camera set at crossbar height so that it is easy to tell of a high stick occurred?
Why are goal cams zoom so far out that you can nearly see the faceoff circles? Zoom into the goal, ON THE GOAL LINE!
Why not put more cameras IN the net? Cameras are the size of buttons for pete's sake. Line the inside of the posts with 200 cameras. (Not really)

Turned on the Coyotes vs. Flyers stream. Yotes commentators immediately are praising Plotnikov, saying he was miscast in Pittsburgh (saying "he's definitely not a scorer"). Talking about his toughness & physical nature.

Was amusing to hear.

Edit: LOL - and the streamer is playing NHL '94 during commercial breaks (I think the EA 2014 edition) with Phoenix vs. Philly. This is awesome, and much better than any official stream.

Datsyuk accidently lays Kunitz out and Pierre's warning Eichel about him like he's getting ready to play Zac Rinaldo.

That hit is getting a lot of love around the community. Odd coming from a perennial lady byng candidate and what should have been called a major for interference

I think it's a combination of a lot of fans who hate Crosby/the Pens and who laid the hit. Reaction or not he shouldn't have put the shoulder on him, he hit him high, and it was nowhere near the play.

Winnipeg is useless tonight vs. Philly.

2-0 Flyers at about 6 min. into the 2nd. I'm willing to bet that the Jets don't come back in this game. As I type that, the 'Peg scores. Scheifele.

Let's try this again: No way the Jets score again.

Nothing. Oh, well. Saves me the trouble of becoming drunk with power.

Switch to Detroit at Buffalo. Go, Detroit. It's cold. Woo! And just like that, DET scores!

I'm feeling tipsy, maybe.

Burmistrov or Wheeler, you're in Pennsylvania right now. Might you pretend you're playing the Pens and beast it a little?

If it were any team other than the Flyers, I would have zero problem rooting for Detroit to fail.

I can always count on you to be my comrade in arms, be they the flailing, Bucco pitching, hotel, or RPG-launching variety.

Great minds... Shooting an RPG is on my bucket list along with the Thompson.

My prom date and her band opened for Warren Zevon back in the day.

Wow. Did your prom date make it? I don't mean with you, I mean in the music industry.

The woman was in the presence of greatness.
I suppose that could mean you or Warren Zevon. Poll-worthy?

She was just a friend. She did okay but never really had a song that charted.

Mr. Blake Wheeler picked up the white courtesy telephone.

All tied up at 2 almost halfway through the 3rd.

Winnipeg hasn't gotten a PP yet, and they're getting demolished percentage-wise in the face-off circle.

A late PP for the Flyers. Strange...all I've heard for the last 2 decades is how they never get those.

I've never disliked a poised, talented, valuable-to-his-team, perfectly nice kid more in my life. And it's all because of the Halloween sweater he wears.
