Yeah, Kimmo is a great guy. Great ambassador for the game. When he's ready, he can be a coach or a scout if he wants to be too...very smart hockey man...

I was sick and slept all evening yesterday. Woke up at 2-0 with a minute or two left. Went back to sleep. I cant remember the last time i missed the final game.

I have a friend from Chicago who was stuck in LaGuardia Airport last night. There's not much worse than not being able to see your team win the Cup.

The more I see Bishop move, or try to move, it makes me think groin injury. He goes down ok, which is most stressful on joints - knees and hips. Getting up is tougher on muscles - groins and quads.

Hawks goals per game:

2, 3, 2, 2, 2, 2.

Can't expect Bishop to carry the team when the Lightning scored two goals in the final three games after going up 2-1.

And regarding the Hawks "being tested" with the salary cap next year, who cares? Certainly no one in Chicago.

I'm more impressed The Korea Times gives a flying 'f about the Blackhawks/NHL/Bears/NFL at all.

Chicago is so good. I am jealous of their front office. Everyone assumed they'd be done after the first cup and they turned those traded pieces into more gold. It's going to happen again. Man...good for them.
Of course, staying healthy makes all this a little easier, too.
All of this true. As is this:
Well, they will really be tested now. Toews and Kane jump to $10.5 mil per next season.
since hockeybuzz is blocked at work and I'm going off of memory, isn't that an 8m raise between the both of them along with most of the top 2 or 3 lines having some form of NTC/limited NTC?

Duncan Keith: 31:06 / game

Closest player from the other three finalists:

Francois Beauchemin: 25:24

Yeah, one of the very select few players that played 700 minutes in a playoffs (since 1998)...massive ice time.

I had no idea Keith's cap hit is only 5 mill. That's gotta be the best contract in hockey, right?

same difference

I think he should be the highest paid defender in the league. Only active two time Norris winner and best d-man on a three time Cup champion

Hell be making that money at the end of his 30s too. It will be interesting to see how he looks at age 36,36,38 with all these miles on him. Probably a fair contract overall, favoring the team, looks great now though.
