Don't look now but there's a stench of OT wafting in from Vancouver.
They said it was tied on the Preds/Hawks game but my cat is sleeping on me and I can't find the remote =(

Un-f****-believable. I watched every second of the 3rd period forward, didn't even check my phone or the board until play stopped. couldn't hold it anymore and ran upstairs to the bathroom. I'm on the last step to downstairs and hear SCORE!

1 for 1 on bucciovertimechallenge.

Was 1 for 1 last year.

And the year before.

And didn't get another one correct afterwards. All downhill from here. Hope I win something.

I guess. I'm so used to never doing it for live sporting events I completely didn't even think of it.

My bracket I submitted for money has the Habs, Isles, Hawks, and Flames advancing. Good day for me.

Great opening night. What happens between now and 7 pm tomorrow though...? That time always seems like kind of a blur...

I'd think he's going Crawford. If he stumbles early again though...

I think I like Scott Darling, meow...what do you think...? He's big, but he's not clunky really...pretty agile for a big man I feel like...

Normally I'd agree. Darling went 42 for 42, though.

He's huge, but he doesn't lean on his size like some big guys do. He's got some athleticism buried in those 230+ lbs. I've played against Scott. Biggest goalie I've ever been on the ice with. That kind of size can get into team's heads.

csb time... I often visit Lemont, Illinois as there is a national lab that I need to do experiments at very close to the town. I went to BW3 one night to watch the pens game and sat at the bar. Guy comes in wearing a Darling jersey. We get talking about how each team is doing (this was this past fall, so the pens were doing great), and he goes, "Yeah, came to watch our hometown hero!" I gave him a confused look. Says Scott Darling is a big time name in the town, especially playing for Blackhawk's nation. Said his kid played peewee with Scott. Said he's a real down to earth, cool dude. Anyways... /csb.

A Hawks fan that I work with has said for the last couple of months that Darling has been the better goalie than Crawford for the 2nd half of the season. Perhaps Q was thinking that Crawford's the #1 on the depth chart so give him the start in Game 1. But I gotta believe he sticks with Darling and rides him until he craps out much like how Vokoun saved our butts vs the Isles a couple years back.

Mark Stone has microfractures in his wrist and his availability for the rest of this series is questionable. Well isn't that interesting.

That slash was reckless and stupid, but not vicious.

Subban's tantrum when the refs arm went up was more outrageous than whether Stone was seriously injured or not. And that was before he even knew it was going to be a 5.

Yup, that's a minor. Nothing more. I can't remember the last time I saw a five and a game for slashing...
