All business is open now. Any loose ends (UFAs, RFAs, trades, etc.) let's tie them off and post rosters. It's a shame I started the game where it went over the draft and July 1, but whatever...
If you haven't heard back from me on something, let me know. It either means that it was outside the proper time frame to conduct that business or I simply dropped the ball...
Let's wrap this up and then we'll see how the expansion teams did. Let's give it through the holiday weekend I suppose. And then we'll call it.
Thanks to everyone for their participation thus far as we wind down, it was greatly appreciated and - for me at least - a fun exercise. Everyone should be an expert on waiver eligibility status in the NHL now, so feel free to use that at parties. Great ice breaker.
Again, let's reach out to @meow and I for wrap up. There are some major RFAs sitting out there, there are some UFAs out there, taking all business. All aboard.

Eh, I sent a bunch of offers/questions about players to both mikey & meow a week ago. Haven't gotten a response, so I'm just gonna demand a lockout until new agents are brought in. (In actuality, I don't care, haha. Just noting that I did try.)

Oops, thought I had responded to that already. Didn't realize there was a follow-up. My apologies. I'll get on that.
EDIT: On it.

I post this to r/hockey... some of the comments (no one really said anything about any team being better than any others);
You put so much work into this and you picked Iceland for an expansion team smh this aint Mighty Ducks son
Wouldnt it have been better if you got people from each team to pick the protected lists? Im struggling to think of a world where someone would protect Max Talbot over Ryan Spooner.
LOL! Seattle took Jordie Benn...
Wait, wait...You're gonna take Mayray AND Smid from us? BETTMAN, EXPAND NOW!!
Expansion fees aren't considered "hockey related revenue" for determining the cap. The cap would actually likely go down because 1) the cap escalator has been used so the "HRR" determined cap is actually lower 2) expansion, especially 4 team expansion will mean more teams making less than the mean HRR/team. Even QC will likely struggle a bit at first as they secure sponsors and media rights deals. (also means more teams competing for a part of the revenue sharing) 3) national TV deals are already in place and that revenue is divided among more teams
Maybe Kindl can turn his luck around in Vegas...
Interesting read. One thing I'd like to point out...Jurco is still waiver exempt, so Detroit would probably protect Abdelkader instead (not that it actually affects the outcome)
EDIT: Abdelkader is already protected...apparently I can't read. One of Glendening or Miller might actually get covered instead then
