So I keep hearing how good Hellebuyck is.... is he actually not that great? Playoff choker? Great but team sucks?

I didn't watch any of the series but a 5.23 GAA (24 GA in 5 games, pulled once) ain't cutting it. Gave up no less than 5 in any game, and gave up 6 in their one win. Well more than double his regular season average.

And Georgiev who blew goats at the end of the season on the other end with a good enough 3.03.

Hes a great goalie but he did not have a nearly good enough series. Although he propped that team up all season.

I'm retrospect they weren't winning that even if he was at his absolute best

I think they had said in the broadcast yesterday that Hellebyuck has only given up 5 goals 4 times in the regular season. And then 3 times in a 5 game series against the Avs…that’s rough


unlike our favorite goalie, Hellebyuck has at least had good showings in the playoffs before. The Avs are just a maelstrom offensively

regardless of who comes out of Dallas/Vegas, all four series are gonna be great in the next round (assuming the Canucks don’t blow it against the Preds). Could see any of the 8 winning the Cup

Well...Hellebuyck has been a workhorse starter for almost a decade now. You can't stick every goalie in our organization together and get that...that's a weird square peg to jam in your circle...
