Great call on the Florida offside review on their 2-0 goal. Been waiting for the NHL to see it that way for a while now...

The puck is caught offside. The player who is handling the puck offside takes his stick off the puck while physically standing outside the zone (puck is, again, inside). Tkachuk (who was offside) tags up while the puck handler is not touching the puck. That makes the play on side now. Which means the entry is on side and that's what you're reviewing. Yes, the play was offside but that's a missed stoppage and it's not the type of missed stoppage that can be reviewed. Effectively, Tkachuk exiting the zone is offside...but the entry - which is what is reviewable - was onside. Great call.
