Edit: I think this US roster is funny. Which is better - X-Gen or the 2015 US team?

Canada 10, Germany 0. Yoi. Crosby only a goal, Taylor Hall a hattrick. Geno had no points in Russia's 5-3 win over Slovenia.

Worked from home today. Had the World Championship on in the background. US vs. Russia.

From what I've read, this is one of the weakest teams the US has fielded at this event. Russia is a favorite.

US beat Russia 4-2... Granted, the last goal was an empty net goal. But the US was rather physical, which kind of threw the Russians for a bit of a loop. And when they retaliated, they were penalized.

Oh, and Malkin was kind of invisible.

Sid's out today against Austria. No explanation yet from Hockey Canada as to why.

Just a game off for Sidney Crosby. He's fine. Canada already clinched 1st in Group A. Final preliminary game vs Austria today. #IIHFWorlds

When IIHF reffing goes too far... the other way.

This got a five-minute major for kneeing & a game misconduct (well, a 20-minute misconduct).

I came in here to mention that horrible call on Komarov. The same ref decided this wasn't a penalty:

Refs that called the kneeing penalty have not been selected for any quarter-final matches, and instead were sent home.

Have you been watching the tournament closely, Tomas? Anyone stand out for you?

Man, I wish the Pens could sign Sobotka for 3rd-line center (for no real reason why). Big, big fan of him.
