That is a horrible call. That was a fast whistle and he clearly never had the puck in possession.

Lee’s big problem is that he gets caught watching the play when a net mouth scramble breaks out. Meaning he turns into an observer instead of jumping onto the back of the net. He ends up snapping out of it and blowing a reactionary whistle.

I had Flames o3.5. Two goals six minutes in, three goals 22 minutes in...hard to imagine that that didn't hit...

Not sure what information is out on Binnington yet, but when a goalie gets hit like that, the main goal is to either keep your upper body over top of your knees or get your feet out from under you so your knee doesn’t get mangled. Binnington couldn’t do either of those things. I imagine his knee ligaments look like a slinky right about now.
