That's an easy one - because the Lightning won the last two Cups. To the casual fan - or CNN viewer - that constitutes an underdog victory. They don't expect people to actually watch and follow hockey.

He got to fondle it, but I don't think he gets his name on it. 20 games for the Avs this season, none in the playoffs.
