I hope the Avs win, but I just assume Tampa will win every series.

I'm rooting for the Avs.

But I had a weird creeping feeling that this could be a PIT-FLA '96 situation where the Avs do all the work but nothing goes in.

Biggest difference for me is that you can shoot it past Kuemper. You usually need something more precise against Vasilevskiy...

Also, who is calling the game on ESPN? He seemed like he wasn't paying attention for not only the first Avs' goal but also the GWG. I'm all for hearing the sounds of the game, but when a player shoots and I don't hear anything for almost 2-3 seconds after the goal, something isn't right.

Or is this a case of ESPN's sound being out of sync again?

I tried it for about two games and that was enough for me. IIRC, I may have even skipped a game after the last time I tried it to let my foot heal.

But I'm curious how many current or recent pros do this. I'll admit that I'm reaching waaaay back for this, but I believe Paul Coffey and and maybe even Bobby Orr were Team No Sock.

I'm not sure about current rules in the NHL or USA Hockey but at one point it was illegal for goalies to play without socks. most beer league refs couldn't care less but we had one that made a big deal about one of our local goalies who plays bare-legged. he said it was a "safety issue"
