She yelled so loud on the first Kings goal on Tuesday night that her voice got totally distorted.

If the play in Flames-Stars puts you to sleep, the screeching of Leah Hextall will wake you back up.

and it's not just that she's bad, there is no support for her anywhere. What's weird is when she started the season, it was like she was reading a bedtime story. Now it's just non-stop yelling. I really tried to give her a chance, but she's terrible.

When ESPN hired her, she didn't have a ton of experience. Wikipedia shows a few things, but it only looks like a part time schedule that started in 2018. There has to be dozens or even hundreds of people who put their time in elsewhere (competing networks, minor league announcers, etc.) that would be more qualified than her to call a game for ESPN.

I really just don't think she's got a good voice for PxP. mind you, there are teams that have PxP announcers who've been doing it for years who I think have bad voices too. the Caps TV team are horrible, both PxP and color commentary but those guys are local. there's got to be someone better on the national level.

I actually think Beninati is a big time pro. He also does national stuff, college football, and lacrosse...

Craig Laughlin, the color guy, is rough...I can't even pin it down, it's like a Wisconsinian Kermit the Frog...?

I just don't like Beninati's....tone. it probably doesn't help that he works for the Caps.....

now John Forslund, there's a GREAT tone for play by play.

That's too bad. Toronto dominated that OT, probably should have drawn a few power plays in the process...oh well, tough to knock teams out. Leafs have been better in the series, let's see if they can convert it...

We may have a history of yakking 3-1 leads but we don't have 5% of the scar tissue that Toronto fans have. We've at least celebrated multiple Cups in our lifetime. Some of their fans have never known a playoff series win.

2011 vs. Tampa. Neal scored that OT goal in Tampa to put us up 3-1 and then we went home and got skewered in that afternoon blowout, punted Game 6 in Tampa, and then got 1-0'd at home in Game 7.
