Get away once? Once. They let him go to Russia after three years in the org. He came back after two strong seasons in the KHL. Scored 0 goals.
Pushed away once: And the Stars put him on waivers and bought him out at the age of 25.

He signed in Colorado, got assigned some defensive assignments...his game improved. And in his third year with Colorado (this year) he's spent a lot of time with Kadri and Burakovsky...but even rotates up with MacKinnon at times...it's really improved his output, naturally...

He has talent, but he got a little bit rushed and it hurt him a bit...and then Dallas brought him back just to play him with guys like Radek Faksa and it didn't work out...plus, the Stars don't do offense anymore...Hitchcock and Bowness put an end to that...
