McDavid’s shot itself is unremarkable. It isn’t particularly accurate or hard. But the amount of speed he attacks with takes that shot from meh to bananalands

likely a dumb question but why don't any of the defenders on any of these play the body? albeit McDavid is probably a thousand times faster on the ice than he looks on camera but waving your stick around isn't going to do **** with him either

I don't mean this as any sort of slight...but I don't think you're good enough or at the proper angle to even interpret all of the misdirection and deception that McDavid is throwing at these guys that are causing all of these micro-adjustments that are opening them up to getting walked...

I don’t even disagree. McDavid is substantially faster than an average NHL defensemen; never mind how much faster he is than me which is likely order of magnitudes faster

that said, I would be surprised if the alleged best defense of one of the best, if not the best, stick handlers in the world was to generically wave your stick around like you’re trying to direct a Southwest Airlines aircraft at an airport
