Look at how clever Vasilevskiy is in the scramble...keeps his knee up, slides his edge along the goal line...he doesn't get it, but it's exceedingly clever for me. 99% of goalies in the world either kick that in their own net or kick it out the other side, either way, it would have been an accident...

I saw this live. I’m not 100% sure this is as articulate of a play as you think. It might be, certainly. I don’t put anything by Vaz when it comes to unconventional stuff like this. He tends to end up on the right side of things way more often than not. Maybe my smooth brain can’t see something like this - where a guy knows exactly how far to extend backwards to get right on the goal line and not catch the pipe at all - and think it’s a calculated move. You are right though. That ends up getting kicked in 99/100 times. B
