3rd goalie in for the canes (toronto guy name david ayres) and the leafs are playing terribly. crowd is booing them. gotta love it

Some further info about this guy -- he's the 3rd practice goalie for the Leafs so he's seen those guys in practice numerous times. If ever there was a team that he was gonna have to face in that situation, the Leafs were perfect. So that explains the stick taps at the end of the 2nd period. That came off as really odd when I first saw it but now makes sense after reading about it. Also, Ayres had a kidney transplant (from his mother) in 2004. Those shirts that the Canes are selling will have royalties that will go back to Ayres which he says he'll donate to a kidney foundation in Canada.
