I was surprised that he just got his 699th. I was at the Philly and Islander games in DC when he was at 698. The section (arena) was full of people yelling for him to get 700. 5 games without a goal (or point).

Let's say for argument sake he scores exactly 60 this year. That puts him at 718, which is 175 away.

If he decided to play in the NHL until he was 38, he would need to average 44 goals/yr over the next 4 years to equal Gretzky. He's had at least 50 every year since the half season, save for 16-17.

I'm not saying he can absolutely do it, but it might be close if he doesn't lose his shot with age.
