The new season kicks off in Erie a week from Friday with the mighty Providence Friars and three joke teams, one of which is still in the CCAC I think, in the Ice Breaker Tournament.

PC vs Miami and ND vs Mercyhurst on Friday.

I’ll be there Saturday. Go Friars!!!!!

How many prospects do the Pens have in college, 3 or 4, maybe more?

I'm now an American scout for - in mine, and many others opinions - the best independent scouting service out there. So I'll be leading the charge in their NCAA, USHL and NAHL work. And with whatever spare time I have, I'll be a cross-over guy for other regions as needed...but my primary focus is the United States and the United States has cawlidge hockey...

Why would I go with your list, when I googled the list and found a random website that has a list of players? Wouldn't it make more sense to trust the googles than to trust you?

Re: Bjorkqvist. He's interesting. He does go to the net and work. His skill set isn't as interesting...but predicting the next Hornqvist is really tough. I like Hållander more. Bjorkqvist doesn't seem as coordinated, as fast (heh) or as skilled as young Hornqvist...higher center of gravity too...

Go to the net guy with a high center of gravity? That seems like a painful combo.

PSU starts the season right with a 4-3 win over #17 Clarkson.

I won tickets to the Notre Dame game on Dec. 8th. Looking forward to that match up (and likely getting destroyed).

PSU downed Princeton last night to move to 5-0 on the season for the first time in the program's young life. Really good start to the season with 3 of those wins coming against teams that were ranked at the time of the game.

Whoa... PSU got a 1st place vote this week. They're clearly not #1 material, but it's still nice to see them ranked up there with the big boys.

First loss of the season for the Nittany Lions last night. I was in attendance and saw one of the best goals I've ever seen in person:

Also, Mario Lemieux was 3 boxes down from me. He was there watching his son play for Arizona State. The number of people waiting to the entrances to the box seats for him to come out was obnoxious.

I went looking for the friday PSU/ASU game on TV, only to find BTN had women's volleyball. Which was fine, just not what I was looking for. (FWIW, this year's PSU women's volleyball team isn't on the level of the 4 straight titles team - they lost @ Nebraska after being up 1-0 and 2-1 in sets)
