They wonder why they don't win. Sid is the hardest working guy on our team, and Ovi floats for one-timers.

He wasn't very noticeable last night...which is odd, because the game wasn't very intense...I guess he was tired from trying so, so hard to get his 50th in game 82 the other day...he tried way, way harder to do that...easily...
Seriously, he played 10:16 of the 3rd period, including 6:04 of the last 8:10 in a meaningless game against New Jersey...comes up empty in game 1 at home...

The team had something like 5 shots in the 3rd and OT. None in the last 10 minutes of regulation in the 3rd. There was zero intensity on the Caps part to close that game out.

Backstrom and his fair skin must be very thankful for all that shade Ov is giving him. Dude couldn’t be less competitive.

What a very Caps thing to do.He wasn't very noticeable last night...which is odd, because the game wasn't very intense...I guess he was tired from trying so, so hard to get his 50th in game 82 the other day...he tried way, way harder to do that...easily...

Honestly, he deserves a lot more of the flack than Ovechkin...Backstrom has been a worse playoff performer...even young Kuznetsov could stand to take some of it...Ovechkin is a one-dimensional threat, but that one-dimension is still pretty good...even in the playoffs...but there are some pieces around Ovechkin that don't give him any room for error...which is a tough spot...Backstrom and his fair skin must be very thankful for all that shade Ov is giving him. Dude couldn’t be less competitive.

Backstrom racks up statistics against bad teams, and then we’re all supposed to call him underrated because he can’t do it when it matters.

Doesn't seem like that core in Washington will ever amount to anything without someone big leaving.

Orlov stopped moving his feet and completely sold out to attempt that half-assed poke check.

He is pretty bad at the defense thing. Good puck mover, though.

He definitely screwed that up, but that is still one hell of a shot in tight like that.Orlov stopped moving his feet and completely sold out to attempt that half-assed poke check.

I can’t believe this was 5 years ago.
On April 3 2013, Forsberg was unexpectedly traded by the Capitals to the Nashville Predators in exchange for Martin Erat and Michael Latta.

Didn't McPhee get canned after that for their usual early exit from the playoffs? Lulz.

I didn't watch the whole game, just the highlights, but Grubauer looked really bad in the goals he gave up and his save percentage is reflected in that
I'd be flabbergasted if they don't go back to Holtby

Yes, that horrible swipe attempt STILL only gave him a small window to work with... and work with it he did.He definitely screwed that up, but that is still one hell of a shot in tight like that.Orlov stopped moving his feet and completely sold out to attempt that half-assed poke check.
