Really? Wow.

Rykov is a pretty decent prospect, afaik, so the price seems steep. In GMJR we trust.

Rykov is on the rise. Some say it's a C prospect because he may not leave...others say B/B- prospect on the talent. Big, can skate, pretty smart from what I recall...his ability to get shots through was big for the Russians at the 2016 (?) World Juniors...

So, would a 2nd + Lauzon be a comparable package? Our 2nd is worth a little less than the Rangers', Lauzon maybe a slightly better prospect than Rykov?

At least we know that he is no longer up for Grabsner.

Given what happened to Lauzon this year and his pedigree overall, Rykov is both further along and more valuable than Lauzon. That said, we're splitting some hairs here...everyone has a different valuation of players. If people saw how NHL draft boards look from team to team, they would be flabbergasted...

The novelty of Grabner is fun...but really Rust has shown better finishing talent than Grabner over the last 6-12 months...which is good...Grabner is just not a reliable finisher...whether he has a season or two where he scores 50 goals or whatever...again, little better this year, but it's nothing remarkable...he moves the needle enough where you could say we easily have the fastest team in the NHL if he were acquired though...
