I’ve had Pure Hockey tweak stuff.
I’ve DIY’d stuff.
I’ve had a shoe repair guy repair stuff.
I’ve had professional equipment guys make changes to my gear.
That’s the order from least desirable to most
I don’t know of the complexity of it now a days. Almost no one uses buckle straps anymore. Those were super easy to swap out with a prison tool looking thing to fish the new strap through the hole. These new straps are elastic and don’t go through the entire pad. They might be super easy to change. They made be difficult and require sewing skills.

Let me also say that I am no way a gear nerd like some guys are. I am a goalie that tried to wear all white gear one season so I didn’t have to try and pick a color palette. Like. All white. The Reebok rep said they wouldn’t supply my pads unless I had their logo clearly visible.

any recommendations for cheap goalie equipment that ships?
sometimes at pickup we’ll only have one goalie so I’d be ok to dress up and pretend like I know what I’m doing

You can have all my old gear. It has “meow” stitched all over it, but mrs meow would love to get it all out of our garage. You could dress four goalies

I have no idea how the sizing of the pads work but I found this
is that at all accurate? I'm 5'6" so that falls in the 34" category? though Idk what the +2 means

Your chart is for chest size, not leg pads.

Ah, yes, because I was so looking forward to sitting in a van with your old hockey gear, in summer, for 8+ hours.

Don't both of the parties live in North Carolina...? Am I way off here...?

I honestly couldn't remember, when I made the offer I assumed that meow was in western PA but that's probably not true. I do know where MiMH is and should probably make an effort to see him when we go down.

Oo found a full set on Craigslist for $200. I have no idea how to judge if it’s good or not: https://eastnc.craigslist.org/spo/d/gol ... 03080.html
I don’t need anything amazing. Just something that’ll protect my bones
