prediction by greg millen
'the bj's have had two consec 50 SOG games, a team record...well, that's not gonna happen tonight against andersson, no way. he's not gonna give up the rebounds like halak'
result
bj's have 42 shots thru the 2nd and andersson is making rebounds into performance art, though it's because of him leafs are winning this game

Jackets had plenty of quality opportunities. The last period and a half Andersson was in a deep groove.

Hawks have lost eight games in a row. They are totally getting Dahlin, aren't they?

I hope the Hawks dynasty is over. Let someone else be the best of the west.

Wilson being an as as usual.. gets a 10. I wonder why he has been rather reserved against the Pens this season?

I'm not as keen as others in determining value of an asset or a player... but would it have been out of line to say if I was the caps I'd rather have protected Nate Schmidt than Tom Wilson? I mean in a league where every GM gets on the radio and talks about getting faster and having d that can move the puck - seems like Nate Schmidt is that kind of guy, whereas Tom Wilson is more of the pre-2005 type of player.

Ovechkin was held without a shot attempt for the first time in his career last night.

Wilson and Schmidt play different positions...so it wasn't that simple...

Yea, but the caps could have went 8 skaters instead of 7 and 3, but in the caps situation, and given salary concerns of what they have to sign coming up, what they eventually might have to lose... I don't know - if I had to pick a player for them, I'd rather have Schmidt right now for a playoff run than Wilson.

Maybe I just don't like Tom Wilson, I dunno.

I think that move costs them Eller or MoJo or Burakovsky...which in retrospect, perhaps you could justify, but they felt they had more young D on the way and exposed Schmidt...

Burakovsky always seems like one of their best players. I don’t understand how they use him.

Yea, admittedly I haven’t considered what the have in the pipeline, but I still don’t like Tom Wilson.

Yeah, I don't get why he's not better or what the deal is...he's been hurt a lot this year...but I don't get him...
