I guess we will just have to accept the fact that the mighty Bolts will coast to the Stanley Cup. There is simply no way any team beats that juggernaut in a 7-game series ever. Season over.

Eddie Lack is the worst goalie in the league.

Yes, I’m including Niemi

He's hilarious though...Nermal is someone you want to send to Abu Dhabi...Lack will continue to get jobs because he's a good guy to have around...I'm guessing he's responsible for the fistful that Detroit has right now?

I didn't watch this in real time. Please tell me Jackson/Jones/Clement didn't say there wasn't anything wrong with that.

I like how he is surprised by the call. "Awe, come on..." As clueless as Flyer fans...

NHL Logic:

He got 5 and a game. That's enough punishment. No further action necessary.

Should be a 10 gamer.

Tough goalie interference call on Zach Hyman negates a late Matthews tying goal...they come right back and work the Yotes, but hit the crossbar of a virtually empty net...then give up two empties and lose at home to 'Zona...Tie Domi's kid with the first EN goal...

Another demoralizing loss for the Capitals last night...there was a somewhat enjoyable column on RMNB the other day about how that whole team just looks utterly defeated. Meanwhile, the Coyotes are on a three game winning streak...turning the corner?

That was a first of its kind GI call for me. What did you think of that call? Nash thought it was correct but then again he's the Yote's color guy. I wonder what the SN team thought...wait, I think I can guess.

Greg Millen thought the goal would stand...Paul Romanuk was busy evaluating dodint's mouth/anus diagram and couldn't comment...

My first thought is: Raanta had time to re-establish his position for the shot. My second thought is: He probably did not have time to re-establish his position for the threat of a shot...Matthews really polishes this thing up nice before throwing it upstairs...if the ruling was based on the "threat of a shot" and thus influencing Raanta's situation, then I buy it...if it was purely on the shot itself, it should have stood as a good goal in my opinion...that's a real tough call...

If I understood correctly (always a tossup with me) Nash's argument was Raanta response to the shot was the antithesis of Raanta's usual approach in such a circumstance. I get that - Nash sees a lot of Raanta - but I found it interesting that the refs must've thought so too as what other reason could there have been as Raanta had clearly re-established his position?

I don't think the refs were concerned with Raanta's style...I think it's that he was "threatened" with a shot before he could regain his position, as a result, when the actual shot came, he was still "feeling the effect" of being interfered with, so to speak...provided that was their logic, again, I would buy that...if that's not the reasoning, I'm less inclined to agree with the call...
