What's the rationale for putting lundqvist in at 5-1? I thought you generally only put the G1 back in if the game is still winnable.

I disagree with putting your starter into the middle of a game 99.9999999% of the time.

Especially when they are in front side of a back to back with the back side being against the defending champs who are heating up and in your division.

Hurricane goal-horn guy sounds horn on a shot that hit the post and ricocheted across the goal mouth, Canes stop playing to celebrate, Flames skate down 3 on 1 and make it 3-0

Unfortunately, Saros completely shut down Vegas. What's the report on this guy? He looks like he might be a gamer.

Saros was great last night. And he has 3 shut outs in his past 5 games.

He is very very good, but I have concerns about his size. He is only 5'11" and the league hasn't had a top tier goalie under 6' in...15 years? At least.

He's a heck of a talent

The best I can do - and I'm stretching both in terms of time and in terms of tier - but Jaro Halak nearly got Carey Price boxed up and shipped out once upon a time...

Yeah probably. Saros has a higher ceiling. Halak has lazy hands at times - a big no-no for smaller keeps.

I haven't seen many goalies that can skate like Saros. Like Jocelyn Thibault level skater.

Ok what the f*** is happening. This isn't real life with Vegas. Freaking presidents trophy front runners.

Expansion Draft in the cap era: teams getting rid if big and/or unwanted contracts, gifting the new franchise a #1 goalie, a competent D and some decent forwards. Still, very impressive. That said, **** them. It will probably turn out to be their best and hopefully only good season in franchise history.

Coaching. Gerard Gallant deserves a ton of credit. These guys are up and back, up and back every shift...he's getting a ton out of this group...

Was Fleury hurt? Why has he only started 15 games this season?

This. He's really done a fantastic job. He took the fall for a crappy Panthers team, glad he is succeeding.

That recipe usually calls for one part unexpected success and one part pit of despair the next year.

But I hope we play them in the finals for now

Well, that sucks. Flyers beat the Caps to jump over us in the playoff hunt. We are on the outside looking in.
