two egregious calls that went against bos. the offsides goal and the non-call on marchands breakaway. shouldnt matter at all that marchand is a notorious diver. i feel like i just watched a disappointing pens game

The attempted tackle by Dubois on Marchand is a penalty shot. No question. Could be game 7 SCF, that's a penalty shot.

two egregious calls that went against bos. the offsides goal and the non-call on marchands breakaway. shouldnt matter at all that marchand is a notorious diver. i feel like i just watched a disappointing pens game

He embellished plus it's overtime plus he's wearing out his welcome I would imagine.

We still have a game in hand on the bluejagoffs. Florida has four games in hand on them - the league's schedule makers do some crazy stuff.

i dunno, dude. to me, this is deserving of the benefit of doubt. for that to be a dive, marchand has to prefer diving over getting off the shot - the latter being something he's awfully good at. :shrugs:

I thought he completed his drive to the net and if he hadn't played up the hold he might have scored or at least had a better chance. The noncall may have been as much who it was as it was what was done. Guys often get two minutes for being who they are (Matt Cooke, Steve Downie, et al). Just as easy for me to believe that guys don't draw one based on who they are. I could see a penalty call (not a shot) as I think he did get off a shot but I could also see two and two for the hold and the embellishment.

I'm sure part of my judgement here is that I flat out despise Marchand and the Bruins. I'll confess to lacking some objectivity here.
