Caps re-sign Orlov; six years, $30.6mm.

Could he be a good fit for the Pens? Especially if he can alternate between C and LW depending on need.Despite taking faceoffs, Jokinen has spent most of his career at LW...
But I would honestly rather have a true 3C instead . I am just worried that such a player will cost a leg and an arm. That's why I consider Jokinen if he comes cheap...

I'd have no real issue with it...he's not a true 3C, so if that's the hang up, then it's gonna hang...that said, it's not like we're stacked at LW either...

Sounds good to me. But then I would like him to come in cheap (perhaps at around two millions or something).

That's a lot of money for mediocrity.

Guess Lou wanted someone around that's the same age as him. That's a hilariously terrible deal.

Steal for the Devils. Shero hates picks anyway.

That really hurts the Caps to lose MoJo...talk about a key piece in their Top 6. They are reaping the consequences of going for broke the last couple of years.
Oh....and Orpik at two more for $5.5 million

There must be something to that Marleau contract that the Leafs can take advantage of after year 2...not to say that GMs are infallible but I can't imagine Lamoriello doing something this stupid without some kind of backdoor way out...
