I could easily see the Oilers winning 25 games.

Is it wrong that while I want McDavid and Matthews to succeed, I don't want them to be anywhere near Crosby's level?

They're not at his level, although they will score more goals.

I'd like for both of them and any others to challenge for the title of "best in the world." Crosby thrives on competition and you know he'd push himself to be even better. Plus, that means we have a lot of really exciting talent to watch. Win/win.

If either of them take their teams to two cup wins in 10 years it'll be an interesting debate. They'll probably win out since they play for Canadian teams that haven't won a cup in two decades collectively.

I personally think McDavid will end up with more individual awards than Crosby by the end of his career.

Just give in to McJesus. Don't fight it.

Avoiding injuries would help that cause.

Also, of no note, tif...Matthews played pro last year...I wonder if he has a phenom season that more players don't opt for that going forward...
In crafting my highly (overly) detailed parameters, I completely forgot this rather important fact.

Looks like the Sabres now lost Kane for a while, too.

Day two of the 2016-17 seasons, and there are a whole lotta 6+ goal (combined) games. In related news, some of these goaltenders are trash.

PK scores on his first shot on goal as a Predator. Preds carrying the play to the Hawks.

Happy for him. I'm bummed he's in hockey purgatory (media coverage, expectations, etc) but I hope he makes the best of it.

Yea, Nashville just got a whole lot more interesting. I agree with Craigers on both points.

PK's comments about allowing players to make mistakes was a criticism of HCMT, right?

I don't know about that. People are starting to notice the Predators. This is easily the deepest, most talented team they've had and having a personality like PK on the team will them more press.

He's becoming a fan favorite and with a name like Pernell Karl Subban he can switch to NASCAR when he retires.

It's been days since Matthews scored a goal.
