8 wins is what the Caps shoot for, no one else...
Ok that's pretty good

Woo-wee, not a lot of good information the last few pages...

- Nashville has had the best fans in these playoffs. Easily the loudest building.
- Catfish is Detroit's octopus...as long as it's not overdone, who cares...tradition has to start some time...
- Hey, you suck chant is done by a number of teams...Devils do this too among others.
- I love the chants that the Preds have, they have been so into it this whole time...when a non-traditional city has a team and they have no fans, it's like "see, they don't deserve it..." but when they have the loudest fans and coordinated chamts, it's like "they're total amateurs dude" ...no way. I'm a pretty staunch traditionalist, but I would love to see a game there. Seems like a great atmosphere...
- Yeah, no RyJo, no Fiala...two top six forwards, one being a big center...big loss for the Preds, tough to overcome losing top center. But as long as they have that defense, they're a threat...
- Bernier is a really good goalie and his extended good stretch is what pumped Anaheim into the spot they were in...wasn't good enough though in game 6...tough to come in cold like that...
- Traditionally, injured players aren't in it, unless they're captains (see 1989 Flames)...the RyJo thing was just a nice moment...it's not like they forgot haha...

well said Mikey. if you've ever been to a game at Bridgestone you'd know the atmosphere is one of the best in the league, certainly one of the best in USA whether it's a playoff game or regular season.

Right, and the octopus stopped being symbolic of anything for 50 years...8 wins is what the Caps shoot for, no one else...

Bernier can be really good, but the stars have to align for that to happen. He's a smaller-ish goalie that moves well and reads the play at an exceptional level. For him to be at the top of his game, he has to get a decent workload to keep those skills sharp, but not too much of a workload because he can wear down if over used. He could be a good starter for a team that has a good back-up (read as a good back-up goalie, not a good goalie that is the back-up - huge difference).

Right, he needs to play. That stretch he had at the end of the year for Anaheim had him lose like 1 decision out of 15 or some such...guys that are a little more hybrid style tend to be that way because there's more to their game...why do you think Martin Brodeur played 94 games a year...? Same deal.

Yea, but his wheels could have fallen off in that 16th game and he'd be useless until next season.

That is correct. Last night wasn't as bad as 4 on 16 would indicate probably...but it wasn't that good either...I think, IIRC, he gave up 6 on 34 in relief of Gibson...yeah, it's a tough spot and yeah Nashville is good...but I was hoping he could have done better in game 6 there...oh well...he is someone that Vegas should strongly consider signing as a UFA...he can provide "plus" goaltending for a team that is gonna need it...
