I thought the question that Matheson asked was valid, up until the pissy part. For as much as hockey players have boring, cliched answers for almost everything, I didn't think that one was a question that would have caught him offguard. Could have said "Yes, everything. Special teams, even strength, offense, defense. It all needs work and its something we need to look at after tonight." Nobody is thrown under the bus, and the reporter get a long form answer.Yeah the first question was fine, and asking him to elaborate is fine. And he probably shouldn't have made the you know everything comment... But still, have some professionalism there pal
After that, it's was two people with grudges going at it. Neither one of them looked professional after that clip.

The tweet clip doesn't show the full context. It was the 2nd or 3rd in a series of questions that started with "Are you angry", which Draisaitl answered but apparently Matheson didn't like the answer (skip to 1:28):
Matheson is trying to bait him to say something bad about his teammates. I dont blame Draisaitl for not taking the bait.

Yup. His play in the last game of the regular season in 2018 vs New Jersey compared to game 1 vs Columbus was very telling. It's a shame we couldn't have done them in one more time...
