They had them do guest spots previously. I think they'll remain guests that they have whenever they need an insider?

Probably easier now, too, if Dregs and Bob do it remotely.

Huh, I thought Bob McKenzie retired? I guess the gringo dollars brought him back.

He was still a semi-regular on TSN. He did the WJC coverage with James Duthie, he just hosted a draft preview show, etc.

There’s another tweet saying he has six ongoing legal proceedings. Entire thing sounds like a complete mess.

Per The Athletic, the 29-year-old’s Chapter 7 filing list liabilities of $26.8 million. It also lists payment of $1.5 million to The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas for unpaid gambling debt and a $1.88 million counterclaim of a 2016 battery charge. He also claims seven dependents living with him: his 6-month-old daughter, 27-year-old sister, his mother, father, two uncles and his grandmother.

The Sharks are in court because a loan company wants them to direct deposit some of his money to pay off an outstanding loan that he hasn't paid in over a year...

Isn't that just standard wage garnishment? Maybe they don't have a judgement allowing them to do that?

Makes me wonder what would've happened had San Jose attempted to trade him.

Would the issue have been transferred to his new team then?

I'm sure it would have. It's secured to the contract...the Sharks would no longer be named on the contract upon transfer...

If I ever came into a large sum of money I believe I would live with as much frugality as necessary to never work again so I might not be the best judge, but if you’re taking out a $4MM loan, and then additional loans, for “business opportunities” after making $30+MM even before signing a new $49MM contract, I’m pretty sure you’ve done, and are currently doing, something very wrong with your money.
