Just three days after a former major junior hockey player alleged that he was forced to do cocaine in a bathroom as a rookie with the Kitchener Rangers in 2016, two former CHL players have launched a class-action lawsuit alleging that players aged 15 to 17 were, “routinely victims to hazing, bullying, physical and verbal harassment, physical assault, sexual harassment, and sexual assault.”
This is bonkers, how are people this messed up.
I’m sure mikey and Chairman meow could speak more knowledgeably about it, but to the best of my not firsthand knowledge or experience junior hockey very much has a frat boy mentality that is made worse by the majority of players being plucked away from their homes, parents, and structured upbringing at 15/16 years old. The dickheadedry becomes exponentially compounded and doesn’t get snuffed out by Canadian good ole boys like Bill Peters.

This is correct.
This is what happens when the people in charge have a 9th grade education. They went through it went they played, now you just go through it.

Given that it's Simmons and he can be unreliable, I'll wait for someone else to confirm.
