I have zero issue with the puck over glass penalty as it currently exists

They discussed removing offside altogether - they being either the owners or coaches or competition committee or something, I don't remember who
A correction/clarification on the GMs discussion about the offside rule yesterday: There was talk about changing the parameters of how it's enforced -- ie. creating a plane above the line, allowing a player's skate to be in the air, etc. -- but not abolishing it entirely.

Yet you’re ok with icing not being a penalty - even though it’s the same exact competitive advantage?

If you’re humming about possibly sending Letang for him, hard pass.

This logic is not good

You cannot allow players to shoot the puck into the crowd.

You are punishing them the same way you punish icing. It’s an effective deterrent. Is this like a safety concern?

My man. There is in play, and there's out of play. One is not like the other

Flyers fans are apparently pissed that they passed on him at 14.

They should be. They are in a transition period where they used to be able to score, but couldn’t keep the puck out of the net to where they are going to be able to keep the puck out of the net, but not score. I don’t like the pick they made and they should have taken Caufield

Giroux
Voracek
Couturier
Konecny
JVR
And Hayes is no slouch, and maybe Patrick pulls it together.

...I think they’ll still score plenty, unfortunately.

Giroux, Voracek and JVR are quickly trending to being net negatives at ES. Especially JVR. Hayes is a 50 point guy. Couturier and Konecny are nice players, but I’m not hitching my offensive wagon to them if I don’t have to.

York is a nice player, but he’s a leech. He racked up a bunch of second assists because the USNTDP broke the scoreboard every game.

Subban to New Jersey:
In return for Subban, the Preds get Steven Santini, Jeremy Davies and two draft picks
Canes took Marleau’s terrible contract off Toronto’s hands:

@MapleLeafs

@CapFriendly
Fun Fact: There have only ever been two trades that included a player with a cap hit of $9M or more, and they were both P.K. Subban.

The next highest was Shea Weber's cap hit at $7,857,143, who was coincidentally traded for Subban
