The World Cup of Hockey is expected to return in 2024 for some reason.

At the draft, someone told me they don't want to go with the same teams...but "Kopitar ruined it for everyone"

so, maybe with the Slovenian probably sliding out of the way, we can get some legit teams...

mess it up? If Babcock were in Vegas, that might be a concern. Phil will be at game #983 when the puck drops. 990 is early enough in the season that he should break it.

I'm willing to bet he gets to a few games over 1k. Vegas loves a show and I'm sure would put together an over the top pregame presentation for it.

Wasn't there a story that Phil was real big on casinos and poker? I feel like I read something that he was a regular at Rivers and would even gamble on game days and that's why HCMS wanted him gone.

if they did it right and schedule at an opportune time with proper time off (heck even shorten the season by 6 games or so), it could be a lot of fun. We haven't had an olympics with NHL players since what now, 2014?

yeah but VGK are a ClownShow™ so if any team could mess it up, it will be them. it'll be something stupid too like they arrange for a car service to pick him up and driver gets lost. just how Vegas rolls.

LOL the Flames couldn't fill the old arena. The Thrashers couldn't fill Philips arena so no way in **** will the Gladiators come close to sold out games but they'll most likely still have more in attendance than the Yotes.

I remember the Knights when I lived in Altanta. Manon Rhéaume was in goal and was probably the reason quite a few tickets were sold. A lot of fans went to the games to watch her. I know I did. She was great and fun to watch.
