Jagr scored all 4 goals of his team today (even though he missed 10 minutes of the first period - after scoring the first two goals - due to a pulled groin), assuring HC Kladno's promotion to the Czech Extraleague during 2019/2020 season.

All 4 Jagr's goals here:

Also. next week, Jagr will be the member of the official Czech Presidential delegation during the visit of China and their President Xi Jinping!!

CSKA Moscow beats Avangard Omsk 3:2 (OT), wins the KHL finals series 4:0 and gets the 34th league title, but the first in 30 years (since 1989).

What are his politics? Or does he just play the role of national hero?

He is actually supposed to be the "hockey face" of 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.

Or he may be just checking where he will be playing 3 years from now. :)

NHL only made ice time available in 1998. Hundreds of times that number has been surpassed...also, depending on the year, that may not even be right, there is some faulty data that the NHL has from early on and never fixed...

Jagr, the politician (in China):

Apparently, the Czech delegation offered a spot for the Chinese Hockey National Team (preparing for 2022 Beijing Olympics) in CZE3 league...

There is only one bracket left out of over 30,000 on r/hockey that still has a chance to be 100% correct. The title is "lolwat" and the goal tiebreaker for the Final is "1 goals"

The CWHL (Canadian Women's Hockey League) is auctioning off a bunch of stuff on May 1st to pay off creditors.
https://www.32auctions.com/organization ... 4935?t=all

One writer from The Athletic says that there's a GoFundMe created to try to buy the trophies from the auction:
If you would like, by the way, a pair of women's hockey journalists have set up a GoFundMe to raise money to purchase the CWHL trophies with an intent to publicly display them. Deadline is April 30th. All extra $ goes to player initiatives
https://twitter.com/catmsilverman/statu ... 2227205120

if you go into the GoFundMe, it also says that trophies aren't the priority:
Thank you for all of the support so far. I want to note that depending on the money raised, trophies won't necessarily be the priority. Volume and deliberately chosen items (for historic purposes) will be the priority.
https://www.gofundme.com/preserving-wom ... ey-history

Maybe it's just me, but it doesn't seem like the person who is planning this is very organized. This should be one of those cases where less is more or quality of item is better than quantity. Not sure if it's because it's an auction that he wants to not show his hand to others that might be bidding, but to me I would want to work my way down from trophies to jerseys to sticks to framed pics.

The CWHL's dumbest move was expanding into China. That was the beginning of the end of the league, which wasn't in great financial shape to begin with.

Petr Nedved not in this delegation?
May have something to do with the fact that searching for his name within the main Czech tabloid leads to the following latest entry:

https://translate.google.com/translate? ... -baru.html

(And, slightly more importantly, Nedved is actually the General Manager of the Czech National Team, so he is preparing with the team for the WC that starts in a couple of weeks.)
