Sources say the #Sens have dealt Erik Karlsson to the Sharks in exchange for Chris Tierney, Dylan DeMelo, Josh Norris, Rudolfs Balcers, 2020 1st, 2019 2nd and two conditional picks.

Somehow Burns and EK being on the same team escaped me until now. I don’t think you put those two on the ice together outside of PP or come from behind situations, but I guess SJ doesn’t really need a third pairing now.

Burns and EK are both RD.

Options include moving Burns back to RW. But failing that, Vlasic can babysit the less reliable Burns...Brenden Dillon is a lesser version of Marc Methot and would probably be a comfortable match for Karlsson. Joakim Ryan and Justin Braun as a third pairing is insane. If I'm a team that needs a RD, I'm calling about Justin Braun right now...one of the finest skaters in the league.

there's also a first rounder (no later than 2022) that SJ would have to give up if Karlsson returns to the East this season.

I didn't think you could deal a conditional pick that far out. I thought the max was three seasons.

You can deal a pick at any time...three years is a typical limit of video games. It doesn't behoove GMs to acquire picks deep into the future though, as they might not have their job for that long...future picks hold less value for every year as a result of that and unclear value...

See: Gretzky trade. 8/9/88 saw a 1993 first round pick traded.

I actually don't mind the jersey itself. It reminds me of the old Johnstown Jets jerseys.

Would have looked much better if they removed the outline from Jets though.

Their forward crop looks very thin. Looks like they have a bunch of young guys on entry level deals, what does their forward lineup look like?

Assuming Thornton is able to move this year...he had both of his legs removed the last two years...they have some guys...I guess...Pavelski and Couture are gold. Kane is what he is...in a new environment he may get the "one good year Chris Stewart" effect...the rest of that group would really need to step up...
