I mean it seems like something worth investigating…Stuff from 20 years go? Come on now
https://www.tsn.ca/sexual-assault-alleg ... -1.1828253The video shows roughly a half-dozen players taking turns having sex with a woman who was non-responsive and lying face up on the pool table, the source said.
By the way “having sex with a woman who was non-responsive” is a weird way to say “raping an unconscious woman.”

Phew. I mean they get some certainty but like... wow. At a cost.
Hockey Randomness
I guess they didn't like how Huberdeau played in the playoffs.

Hmm. That doesn't particularly move the needle for me from Florida's perspective. Traded a **** ton to not get appreciably better. Maybe meaner, but not better.

That feels like a big W for Calgary. Huby is obviously a future trade piece, and what a great one.

This is where I’m at. I don’t know how this year’s Florida team - arguably the best they had ever assembled - is any better going into 2022-2023. They’ve gone backwards to me.I don't get it.

I slept on it. I get the thought process... you're going to lose huby and weegar after the year so manage assets for long term franchise health, BUT... you won the **** presidents trophy last year, those are two huuuge trade assets, you got worse for 2022-23, and you're STILL over the cap by $3.5M

If they could keep Huberdeau, it's a 30 year old getting $10 mil a year, ya figure...I don't think they even had interest keeping Weegar long term, he's a ticking time bomb...but he's also closing in on 30 I believe...Tkachuk is like 24 and now you have his whole prime. Even though he hasn't been good in the playoffs yet despite his play style (like father, like son), Huberdeau had an awful postseason...Weegar wasn't far behind. Probably two of the strip club leaders, if I had to guess...
So, you dumped two big time rental pieces and a future 1st to extend your window beyond this year - but also, skipping this year in the process. The defense is horrendous now and even the forward depth isn't that great, but you get some certainty about 2024 thru 2027...Lundell is on the rise, Knight is on the rise, maybe Denisenko is something, Hornqvist's deal expires...it's a bananas deal, but it kinda makes sense for both teams...and Florida can't possibly be done doing things given the cap situation, as KC mentioned...
So whether that's dumping Hornqvist in Seattle or it's something more complex, we'll have to see...
Also, if you're Calgary - you lost a 100 point player to free agency and knew you were trading another, and yet they somehow got a 100 point player back against all odds. Tkachuk had 104 last year, Huberdeau had 115...I wonder about the combined points of a trade in history...I guess Wayne-o for Carson tops this, Carson had 100 points the year prior and Gretzky must have been around 150...
