The big issue for me is too much down time. The games themselves are more interesting, but you spend as much time waiting between periods and games as you do watching hockey... It just drags on a bit much for my liking because of that.
Same, and I'm not the target demo for this. ASG/Skills is designed to reach the casual fan that catches it flipping through the channels that night. I just don't get into the 'look at how zany I am!' stuff.

The ASG has actually been pretty watchable since the move to the 3 on 3 tourney. I'm also looking forward to the Elite Women's 3 on 3 game.

I agree with that. It's something that plays better on DVR rather than sitting through it live.

Top 10 salaries (without bonuses) in Czech Extraleague (per "Sport" daily estimates):

No. 8 - No. 10: Gulaš, Erat, O. Němec: CZK 460,000 per month (=CZK 5,520,000 per year i.e. between USD 230,000 (using 24 as the exchange rate) and USD 276,000 (using 20 as the exchange rate)
(Erat is paid based on games actually played)

No. 5 - No. 7: Plekanec, Řepík, Čiliak: CZK 500,000 per month (i.e. between USD 250,000 and USD 300,000 per year)

No. 3 - No. 4: Martin Růžička, Kvapil: CZK 550,000 per month (i.e. between USD 275,000 and USD 330,000 per year)

No. 2: Peter Mueller (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Mue ... ce_hockey) ): CZK 600,000 per month (i.e. between USD 300,000 and USD 360,000 per year)

No. 1: Wojtek Wolski (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wojtek_Wolski ): CZK 750,000 per month (i.e. between USD 375,000 and USD 450,000 per year) BUT - he was just signed by his team in December

Regarding bonuses:

Bonus policy apparently differs substantially across the Extraleague teams, but the current champion (Trinec Steelers) that employs Wolski and Ruzicka strives to come up with contracts 60% base salary + 40% bonus (where a substantial part of the bonus is tied to the team's play-off success)

Michal Neuvirth attempts to re-start his career. Signed with Sparta Prague to be their No. 3 goalie (behind Matej Machovsky and Jakub Sedlacek).

NBC really knows how to F up big hockey events. During every outdoor game, they make it MORE difficult to follow the puck by constantly using their damn cable-cam to show live game action. Tonite, we get to see the shootout challenge from the perspective of sitting in a freaking sled behind the shooter. Can't see ****, guys!!! One or two shots is fine but not every single one of them!! I may have to send an e-mail.

"Jacob what was your strategy for hitting the targets?"

Really disappointed his answer wasn't "I don't know, just hit the target I guess"

Essentially Jarry had several shooters miss the net on him this not counting as consecutive saves, thus his run of 7 shooters not scoring was actually 4 saves so he wasn’t competitive in the save streak.

That’s all.

Having former all stars compete against the current all stars in some manner would actually be pretty entertaining

I don't know outside of times when it was clocked at All Star games.

ECHL ASG had a guy do a fastest lap in 13.05. Couldn't find the results on the ECHL page or the Wichita team's page, but instead it was on some page that probably gets dozens of hits each month

I'm curious to see how much more room he had to cut corners a little closer or if it was a legit sub-13.1.
