I have it on good authority that he is the fastest into his gear and fastest into his street clothes in the NHL...so he spends less time in rinks than most 1200 game guys...

Good for Patty though...good guy.
Is he the one that showers between periods?
Hmm, I don't think so...a couple guys do though for sure...

Gritty is also serving as the perfect distraction for the dumpster fire that is that organization.

Yeah I actually thought the Flyers weren't too far away from being good. Please God let them trade their prospects away for picks.

I genuinely believe Pronger will be the next GM. Hell, why don't you let ol' Bobby C have a third go-round?

They're about 12 months away from this thing really taking off...please tear it down before then...Morgan Frost for Niklas Hjalmarsson...Travis Sanheim for Andrew Ladd...hire some other former Flyer goon to take over: Dan Carcillo or Chris Pronger or someone...burn baby burn...
It was Ed Snider who was always in win-now-buy-now mode, and once he passed, the organ-I-zation finally said, "OK, let's be patient and build like everybody (with the exception of EDM, of course." It looked like a 4 to 5-year rebuild. They take the wallet and keys away from Holmgren.

So, now they're 3.5 years in on the the rebuild, Hextall fixes much of Holmgren's mess, and NOW they're suddenly impatient? AND it's Holmgren who makes this call? Whatever, Flyers. The Metro thanks you for your latent uncontrollable impulsiveness. It took the Pens 4 years with 2 generational talents AND a legit franchise goalie to win the Cup, you know.

I agree that they're going to go for Quenneville.

The Pens are just what the doctor ordered for what ails the Flyers. Konecny will have a hat trick.

Sweden is prosecuting Thomas Larkin for his blind-side hit on Daniel Paille that likely ended his career.

Do you want an Olympics Gold Medal?

https://livebid.cz/auction/aurea_89/det ... ?locale=en#

You have 15 days, as long as you have more than CZK 1.1 Mil...
Going into the last day! :)

Current price is CZK 1.35M, but I expect that the bids typically come right before the deadline.

And, it has been pretty much confirmed that the medal belonged to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin_Proch%C3%A1zka . Apparently, his debts exceed the current auction price roughly 15 times...

If I understand it correctly, the cap hit is actually $10.2 million for this season and $6.9 for the remainder of the contract.

I love hockey. This is incredible.
The Teddy Bear Toss is one of the most heartwarming holiday traditions in minor league hockey: The home team scores its first goal of the game, and thousands of plush toys are hurled from the stands and collected for charities.

Barber's goal wasn't just the catalyst for this year's Teddy Bear Toss for Hershey, the American Hockey League affiliate for the Stanley Cup champion Washington Capitals. It also sparked the largest shower of stuffed animals in hockey history, as Hershey collected 34,798 toys from the ice midway through the first period Sunday.

The previous world record was set in 2015 by the Calgary Hitmen of the Western Hockey League. The previous high for the Hershey Bears was 25,017 collected in 2017.

This is an absolutely nasty, sucker punch on Matt Calvert from the BENCH. No glove either. He takes his glove off and uppercuts a defenseless Calvert that is being held by Larkin. Go figure, a Bertuzzi sucker punching a member of the Avalanche.
