One thing about Ferland, is that he doesn't compete all the time. Like, he was noticeable in the playoffs...but he's not the highest motor guy for his style of play...we paid for motor...Ferland is better, but Tanev is on all the time...

Please note: I'm not justifying the Tanev contract.

The Montreal Canadiens have signed Finnish forwards Joel Armia and Artturi Lehkonen to two-year contracts.

Armia's contract has an average annual value of $2.6 million US, while Lehkonen's has an AAV of $2.4 million.

Ferland's contract is almost as bonkers as Tanev's. NMC the first two years, 10 team NTC in year 3, and 8 team NTC in year 4; $2MM signing bonus this year.
