i would argue that you have to have at least one every 20 years, hence "generational"

Don’t “have to” for this one, IMO. In between Jagr’s prime and Sid’s ascension...did we have any active generationally talented forwards in 04 or so? Foresberg maybe but probably not.

Yeah, I have written it before. The years just after 2000 feel quite weak. An injured Forsberg and Thornton and Igilna...

At live speed, I look at the arm extension by Bratt and would be tempted to make the same call...after review I see, but I don't have that luxury...

Who the **** started calling Marchand “Little Ball of Hate”? That’s reserved for Pat Verbeek, and only him.

Wonder if they're going to have to try to make a bubble happen for the playoffs, or at least get the Canadian teams into the US for one.

You would think that most players will be able to get a vaccine by playoff time. I can’t see any way they’d do another bubble. Not sure about vaccine supply Canada though.

I was reading about vaccination efforts in Canada. Unfortunately, they do not have the domestic capability to produce the large numbers of vaccines needed to treat everyone. So they rely on foreign manufacturers like in India, who are struggling to keep up with their own domestic needs. Because of these variants, I saw a public health official (US) call for delaying second shot vaccines up to six weeks to provide enough first doses for people to keep ahead of the variants.

I don't think a bubble is happening because they need the crowds. Unless things really get bad

One of the Twitter threads I went through said most players on Canadian teams aren’t vaccinated due to supply issues. At the same time I can’t imagine most players in the US are vaccinated. I can’t see a 220 lbs. ripped professional athlete using the BMI loophole at Rite Aid.

The only thing I've heard RE: NHL players getting vaccinated was Dallas getting the J&J vaccine.

Galchenyuk getting a chance to play with Tavares and Nylander. This could be his chance to stay in the league?

Right, but with those restrictions and phases going away in the next month in pretty much every state, I’d imagine most could find a shot by playoff time.

I could not do this for Jankowski or Rodrigues. I actually looked into it to make sure I wasn't confirmation biasing a well known and obvious trait of Gusev's against me...and I wasn't. But, by all means, please give me several minutes of Jankowski deking around NHL players in recent games, I'll wait...

Goals != hands, of course.

So, you standby "no hands", as if I don't watch Devils games too, and haven't seen him in the KHL...even though he's literally beating NHL players, to the point that they're actually falling down...and this isn't a career retrospective, this is like his last 10 games or something...

So, however you want to spin it, people who watch and know hockey (too?) took exception to the "no hands" part, you started going in other directions thereafter talking about goals per whatever gibberish, even though we're still just talking about hands...no one said shot, or goal-scorer, or finishing ability or anything...just hands.

Unexpectedly, because I'm 100% positive that I'm correct, I take the time to provide minutes of video from his last handful of games just going around NHL players, playing with clowns like Zacha and whoever...and you still standby your - now obvious to everyone - incorrect opinion...

You keep waiting, we're all done here...
I refer to hands as goal scoring ability, and so do most people. Hands of stone does not refer to not being about to skate with the puck. NOBODY refers to "hands" as the ability to beat players skating. So I don't know what the heck you are talking about.

But whatever.

And again, since I am the one that brought up hands and all the other parts of his game... how am I going off topic to the other stuff? I brought it up in the same post.

I don't know who pissed in your Wheaties when it come to my posts lately... but if you want to do this, it's fine.

(As to video, I don't know who to make videos. I can't even get my dash-cam to be edited smaller files.)

Hands and goal scoring ability just aren't the same thing. It's not up for discussion. You're literally trying to tell me that some people refer to nickels as dimes. I've watched more games with pro scouts over the last three years than I have with friends, I mean, it's just not how it goes. Hands and goal-scoring ability are just different. You can say hands near the net or finishing moves or finishing ability or whatever...but when you're talking hands, you're not talking the ability to throw the puck into the net.

Hands is referring to stick and puckhandling, particularly in traffic against opponents.

My attitude is only in response to yours. I'm as easy going as they come, but you're being aggressively wrong. Like, forget your opinion on Gusev, fine, you don't think he has hands or whatever...just the technical skills that you have defined are incorrect. I mean, by this attempt at logic, it means that Maxim Afinogenov didn't have hands...it's just not in line with reality. Even if you could make videos, you couldn't do this for Jankowski because he can't do this because he doesn't have hands...but regardless...
