Hannibal Buress dropped acid at a Golden Knights game, and talked about it on a recent podcast. The camera crew came down and interviewed him, the clip is on NHL.com

Former NHLer Kristian Huselius was hospitalized with serious burns after his chimney free fireplace malfunctioned, blasting him in the face and and shoulder with fuel and lighting him on fire.

He is expected to make a full recovery with minimal scaring.

I touched the glass door on my fireplace for 6 milliseconds and still have a sizable scar, 15 months later.

Minimal scarring my foot.

Apparently Reddit thought Morgan Rielly yelled a homophobic slur at the ref during last night's game. The internet was up in arms and calling for suspensions, fines, etc. Upon further examination, and an official examination from the league, it was determined that no slur was said. Somebody on the ice actually said "Rag it! Rag it!" as in, hang on to the puck for bit... Once again, the internet was wrong.

Breaking news, the new playoff format sucks again this year.
The Tampa Bay Lightning, Boston Bruins, and Toronto Maple Leafs make up three of the top 5 teams in the league. Logically, they should be facing teams in the bottom half of the top 16. Well, the Lightning would get to face the eighth seed in the East, which seems like a good start. That’s the same as it would be in the old system.

However, the Bruins, the second best team in the league, have to play the Leafs, who are currently the fifth best team in the first round. You still have to be good to get into the playoffs, but the division you happen to be in now matters a lot more than how good the team is.

The top three teams in the Metropolitan Division, all lower than the top three in the Atlantic, get a far easier path to the semi-finals because they happen to be in a weaker division. This system arbitrarily rewards teams for being in inferior divisions.

Not only is this unfair, but it makes for an anti-climactic road to the Cup. If the Bruins beat the Leafs and Lightning in the first two rounds, for example, they will be matched against a weaker team in the conference finals. These playoffs tend to knock off the best teams in the league in the first few rounds.

People are very intolerant of those that show intolerance. They are also very intolerant when you point out to them that they are being intolerant.

Heh, there's a 0% chance that that word isn't used once a day on the rink...not saying it's right or it's good or that it should be dismissed out of hand...but I just don't understand when/why it becomes a case and when it doesn't...

In this case, it was picked up on the Bolts broadcast while Rielly was yelling at a ref.

Rielly was the one who dropped the f**k bomb, someone else said "rag it" with almost perfect timing.

I listened to the original audio. Under the context of "Morgan Rielly yells homophobic slur," I did hear that slur. Under the context of "rag it!" I heard that. Funny what your brain will do. That said, it isn't the first time the internet condemned somebody before having all of the facts.

What I do like is that the league obviously took it very seriously and got to the bottom of it extremely quickly.

Ron Hainsey is leading the league in +/- on the good since, Drew Doughty is second worst.

(Malkin is 6th worst in the league)

Not only that, but you can see Rielly's mouth move and he's looking directly at the official as it's said.

I doubt he was telling the official to Rag it. Watch it at full screen... watch Rielly during the play. He obviously thought there should have been a whistle or something.. and as he's skating in his own end he looks at the official, his mouth moves, and the words are heard so I think it's pretty clear that it's Rielly's voice. The lighting player is going to touch the puck next, so I'm not buying the Rag it explanation.

Yeah, but he has no value in the current NHL...
