Listen, it went downhill post-CCM, so this is nothing new.

Reebok era ended up being solid once the initial designs and the Edge 1.0 debacle were sorted out. On the consumer side, Reebok was great. Adidas was also solid unless you’re hung up on the authentic retails not being true authentic ‘made in Canada’ jerseys. As far as wearability, I much prefer Reebok and Adidas over CCM.

On ice, the Fanatics move will probably just be a logo swap at first since they’re keeping with the same Canadian manufacturer that adidas used. Retail is yet to be seen but Fanatics isn’t exactly known for their high quality merchandise.

CCMs were the highest quality, and seeing as how I only ever wore a jersey while playing, going to a game, or in winter, the fact that it was heavier worked in its favor.

I've been out of the jersey game for a bit now...RBK didn't do it for me, so I stopped at CCM/Koho. In my head, I associate "Fanatics" with cheap and knockoff...is that unfair?

Not unfair at all.

Nope. Their replica jerseys are really **** considering the price. They are also responsible for the recent Mitchell & Ness throwbacks that could easily be confused with a knockoff.

I wonder how messed up the sizing will be. The old CCMs, I wore a 50 or a 52 and could easily fit multiple shirts or a hoodie underneath. When they went to adidas, I ordered a size 52 and it fit like a 46 or a 48. I went up to a size 56 and it's wearable but it's not half as comfortable as the old CCM's. I'm afraid to see how the sizing will be with fanatics.

Knowing Fanatics, one 52 will fit completely different than another 52

Even the sizing between Addidas Adizero and Prime Green are totally different. I had to go up a size.

So the Blackhawks aren't wearing Pride jerseys in Chicago because of a Russian law banning public activities that support LGBTQIA+. Evidently, Zaitsev is concerned about reprisals. What a world we live in.

Yes, gotta protect those 3 Russian players instead of showing support for an entire community.

And Connor Murphy had a statement saying he expected everyone to wear them, so this isn't just limited to fan outrage/angst

for those of you with access - excellent article about the evolution of the 'bumper' position in hockey
https://theathletic.com/4205681/2023/03 ... ken=957073
did not know the players who feed the bumper from the left and right half-walls are called 'elbows'

Why can't everyone else just wear the pride shirts and the players don't want to don't have to...? Why does it seem to be stopping entire teams...?
