The point is, how do you know the season-on-time fairy isn't a crazy glue sniffer? "Start the next season on time!" says the little fairy, well, we're not buying it. He sneaks into your house once, that's all it takes. The next thing you know, there's money missing off the dresser and your daughter's knocked up, I seen it a hundred times.

If I get to choose between playoff hockey and starting the season on time I'll pick playoff hockey, thank you.

So who's better, Cale Makar or Quinn Hughes?

Cale Makar sounds good to me. He's certainly more fun to watch.

Jaromir Jagr played in 65 different venues while in the NHL. This is a comprehensive list.

There's always one guy on a team that is a total gear nerd...he knows what everyone on the team uses, he knows what half the NHL uses, skates, sticks, buckets, how the tape is done, color of laces, ear guards, the whole nine...

It looks those people found each other and have started a website...I wouldn't be surprised if Matt Duchene is a part of it, he's a big time gear nerd...

I find it somewhat hard to believe he switches sticks so much, did it 3 times in a game.. and 2 of the last 3 years he didn't switch sticks at all?

Should have taken both. Not like he was using one.

is Duchene the one who knew the curve of every player in the league when he was drafted?

He also "copied" Sid's stick at one point by going to a lower flex (going from a 110 to a 95 to an 80) and cutting his sticks to the exact length that Sid uses.

Something like that...I've heard him talk before and know some people that have been around him, so it all kind of mixes together for me, but he knows more about equipment now than I could study my way to if I pursued a degree in the field...

Roman Polak and Dallas mutually agreed to cancel the contract. Polak immediately signed a 3-year contract with HC Vitkovice (Czech Extraleague).

Kristian Reichel (son of Robert) signed by Winnipeg:

I know nobody asked for an update, but if you had "going back to jail after being released 48 hours earlier" for Billy Tibbetts, then you would be correct.

The article is several months old (found it in a sidebar while linking from an unrelated wikipedia page), but don't worry... he's still there.

"Billy Tibbetts Arrested By Boston PD For Refusing To Give Them His Crack Pipe, Running Away And Resisting After Leaving Strip Club Days After Getting Out Of Jail"

Reaves just signed another big contract. He was on a $1.125Mx4 deal while he was here. After being traded to Vegas he resigned there for $2.775Mx2. He just signed an extension for $1.75Mx2.

He is 33, which I did not realize.

Botterill got the axe

Could've sworn he got a vote of confidence right after the lockdown.
