Mr. Game One! Dudes won a Stanley Cup, won a playoff game, has made over $1.5MM in his career, and is going to Germany to continue getting paid to play hockey, which to me is a hell of a lot better than going to Russia to do the same even if it is for less money.

Thank you for your service.

Beau Bennett signed a 1-year deal with Minsk Dinamo of the #KHL #STLBlues

Many replies I see on the Beau Bennett move from Pens fans and Blues fans alike, basically, "well looks like I'm a Dinamo fan now." Has there ever been someone with a more undeserved fan club than this guy?

I just feel for the kid. Lots of potential there, but he was just plagued with injuries.

I think him making injuries jokes in himself makes people like.

I would have thought he made more than 1.5m from the Penguins alone.

Looking at his stats, it looks like the Penguins were the only place where he was a backup for the majority of a season. I thought he was a backup for the Kings for at least two seasons, and I definitely thought he was older than 31.

For some reason thought he was 3 or 4 years younger than that.

Looks like Spotrac was a terrible source of information for my original post. Zatkoff's last four years in the NHL were on one-way deals. Dude made about $4.15MM before having to hightail it across the ocean to find work.

TIL that Washington players's names will go on a brand new Stanley Cup ring, and that ring will stay on the Cup for the next 65 years...
