It's almost like the teams that are supposed to be winning are winning.
Of course, but usually there are at least a couple of series that end up more competitive than expected. The underdogs haven't really shown up in this round...it's been all chalk, with the exception of CBJ (who seem to have gave up).

shmenguin is right though, next round is going to be fantastic.

Colorado has played really well, but without much results. Minnesota has battle Winnipeg hard. NJD is doing better than most expected.

The games have been good, but the higher seeds are winning the games. Despite the outcomes, I’ve been quite entertained.

Bill Peters resigns as head coach in Carolina. Likely heading to Calgary.

Trevor Lewis is the most generic player in the NHL. He’s like the medium guy in NES Ice Hockey

Pearson has more finish, can swing with the big trees better...stronger on the disc...not like Hags really...

Lewis is a generic hockey player who exemplifies the short shift game's "it's easier to destroy than to create"...closer to Hags...

This will read dumb: that Vegas sweep over LA was about as close of a sweep as I've seen. Re: competitiveness

Kladno (Jagr) lost 2:1 today and will NOT play in the Czech Extraleague the next year.
Litvinov (coached by Slegr) needs a 3-point (regulation) victory over Kladno in the last game to secure Extraleague promotion (Jihlava has some chance thanks to a better H2H record if Litvinov does not get 3 pts.)

After round 11 (out of 12):

1. Karlovy Vary 11 4 3 2 2 28:21 20 (promoted)
2. Litvínov 11 4 2 1 4 22:25 17
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3. Jihlava 11 4 1 2 4 26:23 16
4. Kladno 11 4 0 1 6 15:22 13 (relegated)

Getting pretty tired of this kind of play

It’s the Subban special and the same thing we see endlessly from people like couturier and Andy freaking Macdonald. And it only happens in the playoffs. It’s an easy call and missing it leads to more nonsense.

This has been the worst officiated round I can remember. I’m ok with things getting more violent. That’s playoffs. This sort of thing needs to end yesterday though. So maybe start calling it.

@dodint per our discussion last night...league year is represented the wrong way...so 2017 = 2017-18.

For all, this the record of teams who pull their goalie and replace him with another goalie...to be clear, this is not an empty net situation...

That's really interesting, if I recall, and it was after the first few rounds, we had the number somewhere between 5-10%. Neat.

Ever find out definitively how many Americans played in Boston last night? My guess was 15%.

So, he will NOT be the first coach of Litvinov to experience the relegation to the 2nd league in 60+ year team's history, after all!

Image

1. Litvínov 12 5 2 1 4 27:27 20 (stays in Extraleague)
2. Karlovy Vary 12 4 3 2 3 30:24 20 (promoted)
___________________________________________________________
3. Jihlava 12 5 1 2 4 29:25 19 (relegated)
4. Kladno 12 4 0 1 7 17:27 13 (stays in 2nd League)

Jagr's Kladno earned only 1 point in the last 4 games.

Is cash allowable in trades anymore? Like how the Pens got $5M in the Jagr trade... etc.

Get the hell outta here! Love Shane. He really helped me with my hand positioning - especially during post save rotation. He’s an A+ guy.

Yeah he was surprisingly, I don't know the word really...like, I wouldn't guess this guy knew what he was talking about...but damn, he sure does. We got into a discussion about his main squeeze right now, Carter Hart...we had a lot of common ground actually, which I take as a positive for myself...

I set a new personal best for saying "reverse VH" in an hour as well...
