r/hockey has been posting some odd ice rink experiments. Here's one I never knew about: in 2005 Buffalo painted their ice blue for a preseason game as it was thought the blue ice would show better on TV. Also included are the yellow 2-foot "blue" lines.

Ovechin's season was more impressive than Richard's...

Howe's 100+ point season as a 40 year old in 1969 would easily supplant Mike Green's season...(though Howe's 1953 season is king...this isn't a ranking of seasons)...

I probably would have found a place for Larry Robinson's +120 season in 1977 too...
