Yeah, just saw that. Wow.
The Chicago Blackhawks have relieved Joel Quenneville of his coaching duties and have named Jeremy Colliton the 38th head coach in franchise history.
In addition, the Blackhawks have named Barry Smith an assistant coach on Colliton’s staff. The Blackhawks have also parted ways with Assistant Coaches Kevin Dineen and Ulf Samuelsson. The rest of the Blackhawks coaching staff will remain with the team.
Kneejerk reaction, this is a terrible decision. The Blackhawks personnel management has been trending worse the last half-decade, and no one should be surprised they are struggling now. Three cups...damn.

Also, that Ottawa video is fantastic. What a dumpster fire. I'm sure players on every single NHL team do this though. Of course it had to be Ottawa that has an Uber driver that shttily releases it.

Thought of firing Q has bubbled up before...not a match with Stan Bowman, relationship had gone sour...will be interest around the league, as I think NTP said, teams will consider making a quicker move knowing that Q is available...

Re: Senators. I side with the players on this one actually. Everyone goes out and talks ish with their friends. Uber driver is a rat bastard...

while I agree that it's a terrible decision is it really a kneejerk reaction? the Hawks were pretty bad last year as well. I'm sure Q knew if they didn't go at least 9-6 in the first month that he'd be packing his bags.

The Hawks haven't won a playoff series since 2015. They have lost 5 straight and are tumbling towards last...

I member when Campbell was taken in the 1st, was supposed to be a future starter, then was a complete bust. Nice to see him hanging in there.

I'm certainly not going to poo-poo that play, but I'm not overly impressed. Nice play, sure, but nothing jaw dropping. Ups like this are somewhat routine, but this one just happened to end in a nice goal.

I've said this before, but I believe in real-life prospect/player "regens", if you will...Jack Campbell was our second chance at Rick DiPietro...I'm really surprised it didn't turn out a little better than it did...

because I'm too lazy to look it up, does anyone know which team has the least man-games lost to injury? I'm wondering if it's the Crapitals because when I turned on the game last night they said Oshie had gone to the room (must've been the Maata stick) but then I heard them say he came back. I went into the rink for my beer league game and afterwards find out that Oshie injured himself on Geno's shoulder but STILL came back to score the GW.
I feel like no one on that team ever gets seriously injured.

What a lackluster article.

This would make me like him a little bit if not for his turtleneck fetish.

Was Cam Neely *really* a generational talent?

No, of course not.

He was a dominant power forward. And, boy, maybe of all the players in history, I'm not sure anyone owned Patrick Roy more than he did...but he wasn't generational, not by a long shot...
