I don't know if he's a racist. The only thing I know about him is this, which obviously taints my opinion of him. He may not be racist, but he did do something racist. Lifetime ban? Probably not. A year ban is absolutely reasonable though. And during his ban, he should probably attend some therapy or diversity training or something.

Not to digress, but I took Art History as an elective for my undergrad. When we got to the Dadaists I was mad for about a day. Then I realized it didn't matter. All art is an exercise in frivolity and to try and place a piece of art on a sliding scale of degrees of frivolity just a really stupid waste of time.
