Isles should play on an outdoor rink in Willets Point.

Barclays Center, where an SUV has a better seat than you do.

If you can get over the shitty music, this video is actually pretty fun to watch:

Insanely good video (watched it on mute, so I had no idea if anything was being played/said), thanks for sharing. That kind of stuff is so much better and more useful than a highlight reel...really awesome stuff...

Yeah, I wish there were more videos like this, because I doubt the average hockey fan (in the US, at least) would appreciate this. Crosby's been breaking ankles for so long now.

Ex Flyer and Maple Leaf, Jay Rosehill, signs for my other club, the Braehead Clan.

I remember him taking a beating (face planted on the ice if I remember correctly) from Eric Goddard after taking a run at Sid.

I suppose in the context of the EIHL, he will be a pretty good signing and will add some toughness and physicality to the team, which was missing last year.

Thanks Jim, that was the incident I was thinking about. :thumb:

I like violence, as I am a violent person... but I do lean to wishing that fighting was not "necessary" in hockey. However, I like how Godard goes after the guy that was causing the "trouble" right when he was causing it. It wasn't a fighter vs fighter, neither of which was involved in a hot or whatever, a few shifts after the incident etc.

THAT guy was taking liberties on THAT shift and Godard actually pushed his own teammates out of the way to end it.

Yeah, I read that they might be interested in setting up a franchise there.

So Jochen Hecht finally retired from professional hockey today...over the years, I never got any definitive answer as to how his name should be pronounced, I've heard a number of variations over the years, but never from a German... @Gaucho can you provide some assistance?

Unfortunately, I can't really. Both "ch"s are pronounced differently and both are phonems not used in English. Jo-Ken Hesht is close enough, though.
